A MESSAGE FROM SELINA ESTEVES
|
|
Community, which can be defined as, “a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals” – and additionally, I would argue, “challenges and fears” – is at the centre of why we are reaching out to you. Now, more than ever, connections with, and caring for, others is profoundly important. The U of T Dentistry community is one that cares deeply about the profession and the education of its future leaders. I have often been inspired by the generosity of our community of alumni and friends, and the support it provides to our students, the Faculty, the profession, and one other. During this intense and unsettling time when we cannot be together, I hope that we are able to keep in touch with inspiring stories.
Through these newsletters we hope to offer you some interesting opinions, narratives as well as helpful resources. What is most important now is that you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe. It is our collective sense of community that helps all of us through this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Selina Esteves
Director, Advancement and Alumni Relations
