A MESSAGE FROM SELINA ESTEVES
|
|
The world has never felt so turbulent or disheartening as it has over the past few weeks. Places of higher learning exist to create and pass on knowledge – thinking not just of our professional skills development, we must continue to nurture cultural and social discourse and work to remove the barriers that exist for many. We are fortunate that our alumni community grows ever larger, more diverse and accomplished. The graduating Class of 2020 took the virtual stage last week to salute each other, the University, the Faculty and the people who helped them achieve their dreams. In turn, we want to acknowledge this class’ resilience, community spirit, and drive to achieve.
In this special student-focused issue, we share stories that showcase this class’ adaptability and highlight the ways in which the Faculty has pivoted to support our students on their journey. If you are able, I hope you can find a few moments of pleasure in celebrating your newest colleagues to the great profession of dentistry.
Sincerely,
Selina Esteves
Director, Advancement and Alumni Relations

Join the Class of 2T1, reflect and laugh with them at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, June 12 for the 99th Annual Dentantics: Zoomtantics. The show may be a little different then you are used to, but at least this year you won’t have to deal with Toronto traffic and parking at the Isabel Bader Theatre. And you do NOT need a ticket to join in!*
Zoom lobby opens at 6:45 p.m.
Show starts at 7:00 p.m.
*Please note, there is a Zoom meeting capacity of 500 participants. Only the first 500 participants will be admitted into Zoomtantics. If your household contains more than 1 person wanting to watch Zoomtantics, ensure you use only ONE device so that we can maximize the number of participants who are able to experience the show.
